Top 5 Unique Bars in KL For A Weekend Visit

Cheers!! 🍻🍻

Here are 5 unique bars you can bring your friends and family to for your next yum-seng (cheers) session.

1. Heli Lounge Bar

Now all you atas people, this one’s for you!

The unique thing about this bar is the location. Heli Lounge Bar offers the best view in KL.

Situated right at the top of Menara KH, it offers a 360 degree view of the whole city. A perfect place for you to chill with your friends and family and also the perfect picture for you to post on your instagram and facebook.

It is not easy to have your drinking session here as you need to book in advance. But fret not, if you’ve managed to secure a spot at Hai Di Lao, you can do this!

Address: 34 Menara KH, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 50450, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Opening Hours: Sun – Wed: 5PM – 12AM, Thu: 5PM – 1AM, Fri: 5PM – 2AM

2. The Deceased

This is one of my personal favourite because I have actually been there twice.

Parking can be a little difficult because the shop is facing the street and you’re not supposed to park at the roadside. But you can find a paying parking spot nearby. It’s just 3 minutes walk away before you’re ticking this place off your mind already.

Now that you’ve parked the car, the fun begins. The bar is located on the second floor so you need to look for the staircase to head up. Here is an image of the door to help you out.

Bookmark this article because you will need this picture when you’re there. Trust me on this

All you scaredy cats out there, be warned! Do not be the first person to enter the door.

Why so? I won’t tell you because I do not want to be a spoiler. But if you really want to know, Google have all the answers 😉

Judging by the name itself, I’m sure you know The Deceased is no ordinary bar.

Everything in the bar is deadly! It’s spooky! It’s chilling! You might want to bring an extra pair of underwear just in case..

I’m not well-versed in ghosts and folklores so I can’t tell you much about the drinks they serve but they’re actually based on traditional Chinese beliefs.

I hope the pictures alone already interest you enough to give this place a visit and have a “memorable” night.

Address: 55, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

4. PS150

Another great addition to the list is PS150. It is a themed cocktail bar on Petaling Street in Chinatown Kuala Lumpur.

Unlike The Deceased, PS150 is more suitable for the easy going people.

PS150 is divided into three seating areas that bookmark three distinct eras in the history of cocktails. With the bar’s unassuming entrance, child-like curiousity is rewarded as you step through the toy store.

This bar is suitable for dates as well, according to the website. So if you need a place to impress your date, bring ‘em here!

Address: Ground Floor, 150, Jalan Petaling, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

5. The Voice at One City

We’re ending this list with another rooftop bar because I like to end things on a high note (pun totally intended).

The Voice is a great place to celebrate special occasions such as New Year’s Eve, Christmas, Lunar New Year and etc. because although this is a great place, it is usually not crowded and you don’t have to book in advance. Yay!

Not just that, you won’t miss the fireworks from here.

Situated at the top of Sky Park at One City, The Voice is almost like the Helipad because you have a great view of Selangor.

When you’re done drinking, just outside of The Voice is the glass floor you can brave yourself to walk from one side to the other.
